The Maroon 5 World Tour 2015 is the current worldwide concert tour by American band Maroon 5 in support of their fifth album V (2014). The tour was announced on September 2, 2014, and began on February 16, 2015, in Dallas. The tour will take place in North America, Europe, Africa, Asia and Oceania until October 2015.

Background and development Edit

The tour was announced in May 2014. The band stated that, through a contract with Live Nation, they are set to embark on a world tour in late 2014 through to early 2015 in support of the new album. In June, the band posted a photo on their official Instagram account asking fans where they should perform "with a tour coming soon". Also through Instagram, in August the band revealed with a series of photos the states where they will bring the tour. All the dates were announced on September 2, 2014 and a video teaser, showing the cities where they will perform, was uploaded onto the Live Nation's YouTube channel.

Due to the high demand, second shows as well as brand new dates were later announced by the band.

Opening acts Edit

Several artists will open the band's shows. In an interview, Canadian band MAGIC!, that will open several shows in North America and Europe, told that the crowd will hear half of their album Don't Kill the Magic and they planned to rehearse together with Maroon 5. The two bands have already played a show together in Montreal. Female singer Rozzi Crane, currently signed to Adam Levine's label 222 Records, served as opening act for all the dates in North America due to support her EP Space. On every show, she joined the band onstage during "Moves Like Jagger" to sing Christina Aguilera's part. Recording artist Nick Gardner will open at selected dates in Europe, meanwhile Swedish band Dirty Loops will support in Asia and Oceania.

Incidents Edit

During the show held in Toronto, Ontario on March 16, Levine accidentally hit a fan with his microphone. In order to apologize, he invited the girl onstage for a hug.
